Billy's Story
A bicycle meant more than transportation.
Billy Joe Nichols was born in Memphis in 1947 and moved to Houston as a child. Growing up with little, he learned early what it meant to do without.
During those years, a bicycle became something deeply personal to Billy. It gave him control over where he could go, the independence to explore beyond his surroundings, and the joy of having something he could truly call his own.
Billy carried that understanding throughout his life. His love for family and his empathy for children facing difficult circumstances inspired the idea behind Billy's Bikes.

After Billy began his new journey on March 15, 2024, his family chose to honor him by turning that memory into action.
